Ubisoft has partnered with Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design, a center of the Doris Duke Foundation, to bring “History of Baghdad” to Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This feature will add historical context to the game’s simulation of the past by delivering expertly curated information on the history, art and culture of Baghdad and the Abbasid Caliphate circa the ninth century, accompanied by images provided by museum partners. One of the objects from Shangri La showcased in “History of Baghdad” is the Blown Glass Jar with Trailed Zigzag Decoration.
Other institutions featured in the latest installment of the game, which is set to launch on October 12, 2023, include The David Collection, the Institut du monde arabe and The Khalili Collections.
