The Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC) is the world’s largest celebration of indigenous Pacific Islanders.

The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture, convened in Hawaiʻi from June 6–16, 2024. The Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC) is the world’s largest celebration of indigenous Pacific Islanders.

Shangri La was honored to be an official sponsor of FestPAC 2024 to support the bringing together of global leaders and cultural stewards from across Oceana to share space for transformative dialogue, inspiration, and cross-cultural connection to shape a flourishing future for the Pacific.

It is with immense gratitude that Shangri La, a center of the Doris Duke Foundation, was able to host the Māori Royal Family reception in Celebration of Mana Motuhake (Maori Independence) on June 11, 2024. It was an honor to have his Majesty Kīngi Tūheitia Pōtatau Te Wherowhero VII, Te Makau Ariki Atawhai Paki, and their daughter, Princess Puhi Ariki, and the All Kiingitanga delegation join us for a night of celebrating the arts and closing-out their time in Hawaiʻi as part of The 13th Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC).

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Shangri La hosted the Young Pacific Leaders (YPL) cohort. Participants celebrated an evening filled with transformational cultural exchange, music, and sharing their hopes and intentions for the next phase in their journeys as leaders across the Pacific.
