Convening and Events

@ddf

Dialogue, community and creative exchange

The Convening Program collaborates with organizations and leaders to organize high impact convenings in areas complimentary to the foundation’s mission. The program focuses on intimate gatherings of up to 25 people, across a duration of up to 4 days.

Grants alone are insufficient to unlock change at the scale the world needs. To accomplish the lasting and durable impacts the foundation seeks we must use all the tools at our disposal. By getting diverse stakeholders around the table, we can untangle complex topics, unlock resources, craft alliances and take action.

The @DDF program invites mission-aligned organizations and leaders to partner with the Doris Duke Foundation to power a convening or event focused on our shared goals. By getting diverse stakeholders around the table, we can untangle complex topics, unlock resources, craft alliances and take action.

These gatherings take place at one of our world-class centers: Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ; Shangri La in Honolulu, Hawai’i, or the Doris Duke Center in New York, NY. Selected applicants will receive subsidized access to these venues, as well as bespoke curation and experience design support from our onsite teams.

Convening

Our Convening Program is designed to support organizations and leaders seeking to organize intimate, high impact gatherings which are generally no larger than 25 participants, and no longer than 4 days.

This was hands down the best climate convening I’ve attended. The intimate size and diversity of voices: investors, carefully curated managers, scientists, and policy leaders, created truly valuable discussions. Absolutely exceptional!
